Unique position worldwide regarding security With the certification by the AV-Test Institute the Prowise Touchscreen Ten has a unique position in the education market in the field of privacy and security. Together with the ISO 27001 certification and a soon to be officially obtained certification from the Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (abbreviated to BSI, a seal of approval from the German government), the AV-Test can strengthen the proposition for the 'safest solution for education'. "There is no other touchscreen provider on the education market that can provide the same independent privacy and security certificates," says Prowise Development Director and Privacy Officer Luuk Loeff.
Data protection and application security The AV-Test Institute tests whether devices, services, and apps meet strict requirements for communication, data protection and application security. Only if these requirements are met, a product will receive the 'Tested IoT Product' certification. The report aptly summarizes: 'The Prowise Touchscreen Ten communicates in fully encrypted form and is therefore protected against various attacks. Online communication is secured by state-of-the-art protocols. Downloading and installing apps from third-party sources is effectively prevented because the basic system is very well sealed by the Prowise interface.'
Independent institute The AV-TEST GmbH is an independent research institute for IT security from Germany. For over 15 years, the experts from Magdeburg have guaranteed quality-conscious comparisons and individual tests of almost all internationally relevant IT security products. This helps users in selecting products, manufacturers in product optimization and media in publications. In addition, the institute advises industry associations, companies, and government agencies on IT security issues.
Privacy by Design For Prowise, privacy and security are one of the most important starting points for education. The touchscreens are developed in-house in the Netherlands, as a result of which the screens excel in terms of preinstalled educational software, privacy and security, and ease of use for teacher and student. With the smart free software included, the class can write, erase, add photos, or play videos. In addition, a digital mind map, an educational quiz, playful learning, and the safe 'streaming' of assignments made on the touchscreen for joint discussion are all possible.
